About Us
Vivekananda Institute of Values (VIVA), Ramakrishna Mission, Gurugram is a value education institute. The Institute conducts a variety of mindset transformation programs for different stakeholders such as students, teachers, parents, professionals and corporate executives based on the man-making and character-building ideas of Swami Vivekananda.
Ramakrishna Mission is a worldwide, non-political, non-sectarian and spiritual organization. With over 250 centers in India and abroad, it is engaged in various humanitarian and social service activities for more than a century. Vivekananda Institute of Values (VIVA) under the Gurugram Centre of the Ramakrishna Mission conducts two pan-India value education programs for school children titled, the AWAKENED CITIZEN PROGRAM (ACP) for middle school children and AWAKENING for primary school children.

Approach
VIVA is offering a unique value education program for school students. This structured, three-year graded program has been developed by our knowledge partner Illumine Knowledge Resources Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai. We train teachers to become facilitators and handhold them adequately to enable them to conduct the program in their respective schools. The program fosters an enabling environment for students to help them discover their potential and make responsible choices.
Our Reach
Today more than 6,000 schools across India have adopted the program. We have trained more than 57,000 teachers as facilitators, impacting more than 12 lakh students.

Opportunities Awaiting You
As a Vivekananda Fellow, you will serve as an ambassador of the values program of the Ramakrishna Mission, Gurugram. You will get an opportunity to interact with school authorities, children, youth, parents and other influential people in the community who collaborate with us on various aspects of our program. Above all, you will discover and manifest many human possibilities inherently present inside you.
You will work on project design and management to help us chart out new solutions to support our stakeholders.
By imbibing, absorbing, and assimilating Swami Vivekananda’s ideas, you will radiate those ideas to inspire others.
While working in a diverse team, you would gain an in-depth understanding of India’s education sector – its intricacies and gaps.
In your role, you could expect to work on
- Defining, executing and improving the planning and management processes and systems to ensure the smooth implementation of our Value Programs.
- Interacting with all stakeholders – from parents to senior education officers. Effectively managing stakeholders by regularly reporting bottlenecks, concerns, and successes during implementation by proactive communication
- Leading Value Programs (after being fully trained by the VIVA Team) in your region and shaping positive ideas on-ground. Make field visits for hand-holding teachers and foster a cordial and sustainable relationship with schools. Relationship-building forms a key component of this role
- Leading, strategizing, and executing training events. Organize training sessions for your regions end-to-end as per need
- Reporting actionable feedback and providing troubleshooting directions to the Institute to enhance the implementation in your region. Analyze information about program implementation and take corrective data-driven decisions and actions Proactively contributing to knowledge and content creation by not only spreading Swami Vivekananda’s thoughts in the schools of your region but also representing the Institute at national and international forums. Social media communication and print media publications are useful in spreading the thought
- You are also encouraged to identify, refine, and execute ideas to strengthen the program and its implementation.
- We want you to grow, as ACP grows.
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in any discipline latest by June 2023
- Work experience in the development sector is preferred, but not essential
- Less than 28 years of age at the time of applying.
Language Requirement
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Hindi is essential. Knowledge of any other regional language would be an advantage.

You will be submitting an application, which will form the basis of your selection to further rounds. There will be 3 rounds of interviews. The first round will be a telephonic interview. In the remaining two interview rounds, if invited, you will be interviewed by a panel through video conferencing.
